Batik Art Exhibition at My Office

Inspired by a deep love for Batik art, a teacher and student have come together to hold a unique exhibition of batiks encompassing the traditional and innovative. Fatimah Chik, a second generation of Malaysian painter, is renowned as the most productive contemporary artist who employs age-old traditional metal blocks to print various Southeast Asian motifs onto textiles. Her abstract, complex waxing and dyeing processes, coupled with meticulous hand painted finishing, have evolved into a unique style of her own.
